Exercise Tips
The importance of exercise: Many dieters mistakenly fail to include exercise as part of their diet plan. Losing weight involves two parts: eating less and exercising more. Make sure you properly plan exercise into your daily life. Don't make the common mistake of telling yourself you'll exercise when you can find time. If you are serious in making a commitment to lose weight then you must implement a exercise plan into your daily routine. Use your time wisely: When watching tv, stop during commercials and get down and do a few quick exercises. This will also work as a cue when the commercials start you know that you are to be doing something. Take advantages of your breaks at work, a quick walk or a couple trips up and down the stairs can make a huge difference in achieving or not achieving your weight loss goals. Finding time to exercise is easy, if you’re a little creative. Cardio and Aerobic: Aerobic/cardio exercise use large muscles, usually the legs, in a rhythmic fashion that get your heart rate and metabolism up!Exercises such as running, walking, bicycling, swimming, cross-country skiing, rowing, and skating. Machines that provide the same benefits of these are stationary bikes, stair steppers and elliptical trainers . Jumping Rope: There are many great benefits to jumping rope regarding your cardio-respiratory system. It seems so simple considering hundreds of children do it everyday; but do it for 10-20 mins and you'll know that you got your heart rate up! Strength Training and Resistance Bands: Resistance bands are easier and more flexible than barbells, dumbbells or even hand weights. Try to implement at least one strength training exercise that uses a resistance band; your strength training workout will benefit from it. Upper and Lower Body: Alternating between upper and lower body exercises. Do this mainly to let your muscles heal after being stretched; but it also adds more variety to your exercise routine. Dance Workouts: Lets face it exercise is much more fun when we do it to music! Whether you sign up for a class at your local gym or pump up the tunes in your basement and dance and kick and punch to the music you will tone your whole body and fun doing it!
